What Have You Achieved in the Last 10 Years That Once Felt Impossible?
In the last ten years I've:
Graduated from University.
Got married
Became a dad
Managed 2 pharmacy branches.
Became an uncle for the 2nd and 3rd time
Survived the pandemic WITHOUT getting COVID
Started working as a clinical pharmacist
Passed my prescribing course.
Plus much more..
Life can change a lot in 10 years.
The time can go so fast that we don't realise:
How long it's been
How much we've done
And how much we've gained.
That's why it's good to take time to pause and take stock.
This week take a few minutes and ask yourself:
What are the things you have today that you'd wished you'd had 10 years ago?
Take yourself back 10 years.
Think about all you've been through.
What do you have in your life now that once was just a wish?
What have you done that once was impossible to even think about?
Write everything down. Make it visual. So you can see how much you've gained. How much you've overcome and grown. You'll be surprised by how much you've got listed.
Now keep the list as evidence of your ability to overcome obstacles and make your wishes come true. Read it every time you need a bit of confidence in yourself.
Life moves fast.
But when we pause to reflect, we realise just how far we've come. When we see how far we've come, we see proof that we can handle whatever comes next.
So, keep your list close. Let it remind you of all you've achieved, and use it as proof to help you achieve more.
H/T to Michael Thompson for this week's prompt. Check him out on Substack for great stories on how to stand out quietly in a loud world.
